Cappadocian Travelogue: House of Memories

If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you've seen this place before. It's a place to eat where you come right into the 'den' of the old house, sit on pillows around a low table, and eat a meal cooked by the wife of the owner. She and I have become friends. She has just been married 7 years, is significantly younger than her husband, and is precious. This photo above was taken last Spring.

I had just been to the public bath (women-only side!) and had a good scrub down. It seemed criminal to put on make up with absolutely no dead skin cells present on my body!

This is the real deal. Come on, we'll take you!

Sara, it might embarrass you for me to say this on your blog, but I told you once before how good you look without makeup! Makeup never made anyone beautiful . . . Then again, I guess it helps some. Ha. But really beautiful women, glow from inside and don't need the makeup to improve their looks.

I know why we all wear it, beautiful or not, it helps give us confidence. Believe me, you do not need it. I hope all your girls turn out to be as pretty as their mother . . . inside and out!

Lord willing, Kathleen is going to have two long weekends while in Strasbourg . . . But I suddenly remembered that you will probably be in the States while she is there. She is going to get a rail pass to visit her French friends on the otherside of France and we were thinking of Turkey for the second weekend . . . BUT, doesn't look like that will work out just yet . . . .

Who knows? One of these days we will get to visit you.
