What kid didn't love the dime store in my day? Now it is the dollar store. Even though they cannot compete with the old fashioned dime store (my opinion), I still like dollar stores/dollar tree stores. My favorite things to buy there are ornaments for the Christmas tree abd small decorating items. I have found some really neat things over the years and some of it you would never tell it came from a dollar store.
When I was expecting Kathleen, the last dime store in my grandmother's town was going out of business and she went and bought them out of baby stuff. My sweet grandmother presented me with a huge sack of stuff for newborn babies.
Things to play with are fun for kids and bargains are fun for the adults. :)
