As we walked on past the Perge town center, we saw a Shepherd and his young wife. She was busy gathering sticks for firewood, then bundling them up to carry. They were so friendly and wanted to talk to us. They told us they lived over the hills and walked to the ruins to sell trinkets they made and to let the sheep graze.I wish I could capture the sound. Think about little bells tied to their necks and how it would sound when they bent to eat some grass.
