Perge Part VI (The Shepherd and His Wife)

As we walked on past the Perge town center, we saw a Shepherd and his young wife. She was busy gathering sticks for firewood, then bundling them up to carry. They were so friendly and wanted to talk to us. They told us they lived over the hills and walked to the ruins to sell trinkets they made and to let the sheep graze.
I wish I could capture the sound. Think about little bells tied to their necks and how it would sound when they bent to eat some grass.
He also had goats, tromping and chomping all around the ruins.
We bought a little $3 necklace from her and wished them well. They went back to watching their sheep and goats and gathering sticks for a fire.

Oh my goodness! Do you have to pinch yourself sometimes to make sure you're really living the life you're living? What an amazing lifetime of memories you're giving your children!

I agree with whimzie! What interesting adventures you all have!

Who could notice the goats for those sweet faces?
