Back To a Two Parent Home

I haven't blogged much this week. My husband returned yesterday afternoon. With God's help, the two weeks he was gone went well. I felt like I was able to take good care of the kids. Meltdowns were avoided, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were consumed, and routines were maintained. Still, I am so happy he is home. But suddenly, about 4 hours after he stepped off that airplane, I...am...so...tired. I feel like my tour of duty ended, and it is time for some sleep. It's only 8PM here, and I can hardly keep my eyes open!

I know the feeling Sara! I always majorly crash after Jason comes home from a long trip. We're 6 days in to a 15 day trip right now and I'm ready for him to be home!!

You sound so much like me. I am not sure what it was when David was out of town for a week. In my case, I was on pins and needles. Don't know why. I could certainly handle the kids by myself - did it all the time, when Dave was home . . . but when he was gone, there was a definite difference.

My sweet daddy would come over (unasked) and spend the night with me just so I could sleep. (Thank you Lord for such a wonderful dad.) He came over, kept watch sort-of-speak and I slept like a baby.

Amazing, isn't it? I look back on all that now and wonder . . . So thankful for a good husband and father to my children, like I know you are too! God's family design is so perfect, isn't it?
