More in Antioch Pisidia

I plan to continue to post about our great visit with Mom and Dad until I have finished with the pictures I took even though they have left, so speak now or forever hold your peace.
The church remains are always my favorite. But I love that this spot (hardly even in the tourist books) has so much in addition to that. There is an old Roman bath house. Here's one of my cuties in one of the archways. I like how this picture turned out...
There is also an old theater there. This side is crumbling, but much of it is still standing. We hunted around for lettering chiseled into the rock and found many stones with it.
There are always big, old rocks upon which to climb after several hours in the car.

Wow, do you ever wonder what kept it all standing so long? What made parts of it crumble? What did it look like when it was a thriving community? When touring places I sometimes get lost in those thoughts. I would be fascinated by it all and if I ever come to Turkey, will definitely want to visit there.

Sara, I think someday you are going to look back and cherish these adventures and raising your kids all over the world. I love Agatha Christie's autobiography (which is written in a random manner) because she describes her adventurous life and all the different experiences she had that became the backdrop for her best novels.

I was sitting here picturing you writing a book one day.

Let us all know if your mom and dad made it home okay.
