I took my folks down to Ulus, the old district of town. What a fun place! Vendors everywhere, everything quaint and old. (The goods, that is, not the folks!)
I took Mom in my favorite jewelry shop. I found it funny that everytime I've shopped there, I've only noticed the jewelry. My dad right away noticed the shop owner's antique phonograph player, telephones, etc. We were offered tea while we shopped.I'll admit, my 5th child gets caffeineted, sugared tea once in awhile. He always drinks it like a man. He's a Turk, afterall.
We weren't too bossy in this one. It went something like..."Dad, a tractor. Stand right there for a picture!"

Just 'found' your site! I love your sense of humor!!
In each post to your blog, something will catch my eye. In this one, Ben caught my attention. I thought, "Ah, she is a normal mom!" :)
I became a "normal mom" with my last one. Before Matt, none of my kids wore hand-me-downs or any used clothing. I know. To each her own, we all have our areas and that was mine until #4 came. Then I was just happy if it was clean and decent looking. :)
Love,
Melanie
I love that guy, he has a great shop. Lauren knows his daughter. He was always so nice to us when we went there. You're making me long for Turkey Sara!
