Scotland Story: National Museum of Scotland

Our final day included a visit to the (free!) National Museum of Scotland. It was massive, and I think we could have spent 3 days there. We spent most of our time in the section of natural history, admiring the skeletons and stuffed creatures.

It had cultural exhibits and Scottish history. We were shocked to learn so many of our "greats" (great inventors, great scientists, great doctors) were Scots. Then we headed over to the section of inventions. CC said he already knew the Scots' contribution to bicycling.

If I taught children in Edinburgh, we would be taking a field trip to this marvellous place every year.

Big Ben is very drawn to rocks, crystals, geodes. He wanted his picture made here.

What a fun day. We were tired and could have seen more. But it was time to head home and get packed up to go home!
