Big Ben's Big Birthday #2 (Final Post)

Finishing up BB's birthday posts, we opened gifts Sunday night, on his actual birthday. He received some precious gifts.

This one was from Sweet Cheeks. She drew a picture of all the things he likes. Cars. Horses. Planes. Monsters. Herself.
He got a hardhat with a worklight from Grandma and Grandaddy. We're planning on a Construction Man costume for Halloween! He got this amazing...um, backhoe, dumptruck...help me out here..."construction vehicle" from his aunt/uncle. He knew exactly what to do with it. It has scooped rocks at the park already.
Here he is clutching his shake-it-up, set-it-down, make-lots-of-noises, then speed off car from his Campbell grandparents.
His auntie here in Turkey even gave him camoflauge band-aids, which I am sure will come in handy...most likely today...at some point. Thanks all, for loving our boy and thinking those little-boy-might-like thoughts when shopping for him.

I love the looks on Benaiah's face and love the little boys toys. I still have a couple of bins of those in my attic because I could not bear to throw away the things they loved so much.

A few years from now you will be crying over those. (I could go all day without saying that, huh?)

Sara, you're getting caught between our girls being gone, our boys growing up and your wonderful posts that remind me so much of my kids at the same age.

You'll have to overlook me this very sentimental "old" mom. :)

Love,
Melanie

This is so sweet. I'm so glad to see him playing with something other than the princess wand :) Glad he's getting some boy toys!!

Happy Birthday, Big Ben!

Sara - I had a dream about Big Ben last night. Crazy that my blog's are entering into my dreams. We were on a cruise together.

Wish we really were on a cruise.
