CC took the Singapore girls on a hike Sunday afternoon. Oh, it was hot. We have a dry heat here, but it has been in the upper 90's until this week.
I filled their canteens full, and they all came back empty. They did find a natural spring and saw many Turks drinking their fill. CC advised they just splash and cool off in it. (He's had a parasite or two in this country!)
I've never been back in here, but CC tells me there is a beautiful lake, nestled inside our arid forest. I think they found it, don't you?
It's an hour in to the lake and an hour out. Way to go, girls!

Wow- that's hot. When we lived in AK we took a hike up into the mountains and were able to see these gorgeous lakes that form very high up- they have a name that I can't remember off hand.
Does this look like scenes from the Bible, or what?
