In one sense, I miss WalMart. But sometimes the challenge is fun. Halloween is one of those times. Homemade costumes bring out our creativity and imaginations. They give me a chance to let loose and have fun letting the kids become whatever they want to be for a day.
We ended up with a puppy dog (who woofed at every person she saw and delighted many old lady passers-by as a result).
A very overweight farmer. To hear her laugh after we stuffed her bottom was worth money.
And a 2 person horse.
Turks don't do Halloween or trick-or-treating, so Papa drives the staff kids around to teachers' homes, which seems to be just as much fun for them as the kids. More on that tomorrow.
