Turnin' the House into Christmas!

We normally put up our Christmas decorations the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We all love the house like this so much, and there's so little Christmas around us, we want to get it up as soon as possible. (But I am a get-it-down-Jan.-1-kind-of-girl!)

Here's our kitchen table. I am loving my IKEA click-on candles!

Miss Middler set up my fireplace with candles.

Our tree

Each year I buy the kids 1 ornament. One of these days when they take them, our tree will be bare again.

Cozy night

Merry Christmas! (a shot taken by Miss Middler!)

Don't you love the coziness? I do . . . We are still working on getting the tree up but the holiday spirit is alive and well around here also.

I like those candles. I have been contemplating electric candles for the "lobby" aka foyer in our house, or in less fancy terms, the entrance way . . . What I always called it growing up. After Kathleen learned to speak French, we started using French words for everything but the kids have never caught on to foyer . . . Every time I say that, they look around for another room. Ha. So, I decided to use the word lobby for fun .. . They are still puzzled, as many times as I have said it and I usually have to re-phrase and say, out-there-by-the-front-door. :))

I enjoy your blog Sara . . . My goodness, I feel like I am growing old with your kids. Ha. It will be so funny if I ever meet them. They will be so familiar to me, and I will be a stranger to them! :).

God bless all of you!
Much love at Christmas,
Melanie
