Scotland for Twenty: Dunstaffnage Castle

Our destination in this coastal town of Oban was Dunstaffnage Castle. It dates back to the 13th century and is one of Scotland's oldest stone castles. It was built upon a natural rock outcropping, making it solid up to this day.

Inside includes a gatehouse, seen here. You can see the enormity of the walls next to CC, standing in front.

It had some breathtaking fall foliage! The tree trunks were covered in moss. I sent a few photos from this spot in to an online photo contest called "Fall Foliage."

Sara,
I think I'm caught up and now you're probably there again or nearly so! I love seeing the details that catch your eye. Have the BEST time with your clan exploring and celebrating Emmanuel. Hugs!
