Seeing Greece Together: Athens in the Morning

We had to be up and off the boat early in order to see Athens in the morning we were there, but we knew we wanted the kids to see it. Rather than sign up for the more expensive chartered tour, we walked off the boat and haggled with 2 very chipper and very Greek taxi drivers who agreed to take us to see the sites for the morning at a pre-arranged price. We hopped in the cabs and off we went, zooming through the metropolis.

We soon arrived at the Acropolis. We just couldn't stop taking pictures; it was amazing.

I love how this one turned out!

We discovered that the ancient Parthenon tips its hat to the Nashville replica in one of the plaques.

I tried and tried to get the perfect Greek flag picture. This was my favorite.

And the soldiers were his favorite.

This chubby kitty guarded the ruins.
