Sunday morning we attended a traditional German Lutheran church. It was a beautiful building and we were warmly welcomed.
These statues outside were weather worn and magnificent in detail.
Though the outside of the building was ancient, the inside had been remodelled in a modern style. It was interesting to see the contrast. Two things I really enjoyed in the service: when people entered, they stood for just a moment and prayed silently before sitting in the pew; communion involved coming up front and joining hands in a circle.
This read "Brought Forth By The Resonance of a Dissonance." Indeed, the Reformation was that.
It was time to quickly walk back to our hotel, grab our bags, and head back to life! It was a wonderful getaway, and I hope a lasting memory for my sweet girl!
