I woke up earlier than Firstborn and caught this beautiful sunrise.
While we were there, she began to get emails about her upcoming courses. This was an email about Chemistry. We ordered her book right then and there.
Another blessing we had down at Orange Beach is that Firstborn got up the courage to inquire in a gift shop if they would be willing to sell her art on consignment. They said YES! I was immensely proud of her. It's a hobby for her, but she is very good. I'm glad she found a way to start making a little income with something she loves to do.
Here are some of the things she painted while we were down there on a rainy afternoon.

Ooh, ooh, ooh! How I love these posts. Yes, I predict a lucrative business venture for ME. Friends and relatives will keep her in business if nothing else. :)
I love seeing your children's art. You might be very surprised to see Ms. Kathleen's! She does gorgeous pen and ink work. Something she did not know she could do until she was in college. Her mother sort of insisted, gently urged, nudged, politely pushed her into an art course ... I knew at least one of my kids would have the artistic genes that are so strong on my dad's side. Well, Dave's side has them also. Only one of my kids who cannot draw/paint is our little opera singer but then she is the only one of our family who can sing like that. :)
Anyway . . . I have mentioned before and will say again, I really enjoy seeing your kids art. Glad to know ME will be selling it stateside. Will have to keep that in mind. :)

Beautiful! Very talented young lady. So thankful for your "girl road trip".
Praying!
Is the picture she painted that says IT IS WELL for sale? If so how much?
I really get inspiration from blog posts of your life in Turkey and your visits back to the USA. I am pleased to see you are enjoying the beach not too far from my home in Alabama. Best wishes.
Dear Anon, each piece is original, and that one is in a gift shop in AL. However, she could make another one. It would just be slightly different (perhaps slightly different tones or strokes, etc.) and she could use whatever colors you like if you have preferences. It's one of my favorites, too. If you buy directly from her and not a gift shop, she can sell it for $50 plus shipping. You can contact her on her blog she started www.maryerincampbellart@blogspot.com
It's hard to tell here, but this canvas is large.
Thanks for asking!
