Big Ben turned 2 this weekend! Oh, it has gone so fast! We started the day at our normal Turkish breakfast out. He seemed to somehow know he was going to get extra attention that day!
This was his birthday breakfast...tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, potatoes, and a stuffed grape leaf. Mmm! He always yells, "More, more!" so our Turkish grandpa, Turgut Bey laughs and translates it for him, "Daha daha."Up next tomorrow: where and how we celebrated his milestone. (Can you find the 4 kids in the cart?)

He is darling! My son is the same- tools, machines, fast vehicles = happy boy!
I LOVE IT! Okay . . . Before I read what you said, I noticed the four in the cart right away. Probably because I have seen that scene MANY times. :) Do you ever wonder if they get too old for that? Matt, who turns 15 in one month, still loves Legos. He and Maverick, my mature-enough-to-drive-a-car 16 year old, loves skating the carts across the parking lots . . . They say inside every man is still a boy and I know why now. That part of them never grows up.
Of course, it was GIRLS I saw in your cart, wasn't it? I am laughing.
I know ya'll had a lot of fun. We certainly miss our girls around here. We're looking forward to the holidays when we will get to visit for a while.
