Perma-Baby (to be newly named later this week) was, of course, based on her personality, not a big fan of being on innertubes, skiis, or kneeboards. But hey, whatever floats your boat (no pun intended). So, she was perfectly content to sit upon the rocks on the shoreline.
It was great fun.

Oh bless her! I can't wait to hear about the turn around.

Oh Sara, now these pictures are heart-breaking!! I know you wouldn't post them if there was not a good outcome but still . . . Some of us can't stand seeing our darling Eva look so rejected.
She cannot help that she does not like what others like!! I wish I was there to share with her that I never liked what everybody else liked either! I was not Ms. Athletic, Break-My-Neck or Ms. Get-Sweaty-and-Dirty either. :)
I always felt left out around my very athletic cousins. It wasn't that I couldn't play sports, I didn't really enjoy them. I loved books and reading and doing things that were more mind stimulating and interesting. I mean, gee whiz, what kind of brains does it take to throw a ball?
:)) I hope you're laughing. You just can't stir up we adopted aunts . . What was it my grandmother always said --- "Bring that baby to me!" :)

P. S. Remember the wonderful singer I would have lost if I had kept trying to make her an artist, or my little left-handed ball player I kept trying to make right-handed or my little lawyer who I kept trying to interest in dolls and playing house and, last but not least, my youngest who totally walks to his own beat that I kept trying to make a star student (because he is so smart) yet he cares much more about people and saving lives and giving to others and someday will do so as his career.
Also remember that the great men and women in this world were the ones who stood out from their peers. . . They were not like everybody else.
Henry David Thoreau wrote:
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away."
I'm done with my sermon . . . Can you tell this post struck a chord with me? :)
Sara . . I hope what I said in my comments didn't sound wrong . . . You just can't break your reader's hearts like this!! :)
That killed me to see Eva so miserable. I am looking forward to seeing the flip side.
Can you also tell I am a big believer in being yourself and being who you are? Anyway . . .
Time for me to shut up.

Looks like my youngest today at the lake!
